General Walter Givhan, Senior Vice Chancellor of Advancement and Economic Development recently had the opportunity to speak with Fox News about Troy University's COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
We have seen the generosity of the TROY family on full display as Trojans come together to support local businesses, hospitals, and each other. So far, your generous donations have raised an incredible $23,055 that will help those most affected by this crisis.
We are grateful for those who have given. If you have not made your gift yet, please consider giving today. Your gift directly helps students like Lauren Cline, who lost her source of income due to the coronavirus. Many of our students continue to struggle as they deal with a sudden loss of income and unexpected expenses.
While they continue to be burdened by rising student debt, many students are now also facing a sudden loss of income, unexpected early departures from campus, and technology costs associated with transitioning to remote learning.
SGA President Morgan Long is reaching out to you today and asking you to please give what you can to help our students facing financial hardship in this crisis. You can give to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund at https://troy.scalefunder.com/cfund/project/20791.
We are grateful for the 63 Trojans who have raised $17,030 so far, but the need remains great. Every dollar that you give helps our students in need and shows them what it means to be part of the TROY family.
