Support Pike County Students Opportunity to learn about STEM!
Join Troy University in championing the future of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by supporting the Girl Power STEM Camp! This engaging and hands-on learning camp introduces middle school girls from Pike County and surrounding areas to the exciting world of STEM through experiments, scientific design, and mentorship from professional women in STEM fields.
Hosted by the Troy University Chemistry Department, the Girl Power STEM Camp aims to build confidence in these students and help them envision a future in STEM careers. To ensure that every student has access to this opportunity, regardless of their financial background, we are seeking sustainable funding for the following:
- Program supplies
- Transportation to an industry site and a day trip to the McWayne Center in Birmingham, AL
- Meals for students
- Other essentials needed to support the program
Projects like this help the chemistry department at Troy University expose area students to a higher-education setting, learn about the STEM field, and foster connections with community partners. Donate today to help inspire, educate, and empower the future leaders in STEM!
